I'm Laverne and I desperately need your help! My owner died, so I need to find a new home QUICK. there are lots of dogs where I live--too many dogs. We have all been chained up; we've lived our whole lives outside, at the end of a chain. Right now we don't know any other life, but I know I'd like the chance to make a change! Sleeping on a soft bed, having a dog house, and someone to pet me, brush me, and treat me special would be such great things. I know I'll take awhile to adjust to having a lot of human contact--especially with someone I don't even know yet--but could you please be a HERO and save me? I hope someone will think I deserve a better life than what I've has so far. Your love could make a world of difference to me!
9/2/09 Update: Laverne and many of the other dogs from this situation have now tested POSITIVE for heartworm. SNIPPP is exploring treatment options and will have each dog evaluated for spaying/neutering. These dogs still need loving foster homes and permanent homes. Please call Suzanne at 530 335-2192 if you can give Shirley or her friends a chance!
