Hello, I'm Gentle Ben, a sturdy big guy who is calm, protective, and loyal. The person I've lived with ran into hard times and moved on without me, and now I'm just hoping to find a new place to call home. I've had a bit of a rough life so far; I got hit by a car in the past and my back leg got damaged, but I still get around just fine. Just lately I went through several months of treatment to get rid of heartworm; thank goodness my foster parents are super nice--they took great care of me.  I feel fine now.

I'm used to being around other dogs and cats. I am housetrained and current on my vaccinations.
