IMPORTANT CHANGES TO SNIPPP VOUCHER PROGRAMS EFFECTIVE MARCH 1, 2023 -- Monday February 20th, 2023

Important Changes to the SNIPPP Voucher Program Effective 03/01/23:

In order to continue serving the animal welfare needs of the Intermountain Area, effective March 1, 2023 SNIPPP is making the following changes to our CAT spay/neuter voucher program. 

SNIPPP will not longer be issuing Feral or Low Income pay in full vouchers for cats. 

All cat vouchers will be in the amount of $100 for a female cat spay, and $50 for a male cat neuter. The balance of the cost of the spay/neuter will be the responsibility of the owner of the cat. 

Additionally, SNIPPP is no longer able to provide traps on loan.

Although there are no changes to our Dog Voucher Programs at this time, following is a recap of the programs offered by SNIPPP effective 03/01/23:

Female Cat Spay - $100 Voucher

Male Cat Neuter - $50 Voucher

Low Income Small Dog under 50lbs - Female Dog Spay - $200

Low Income Small Dog under 50lbs - Male Dog Neuter - $160

Regular Income Female Dog Spay - $60

Regular Income Male Dog Neuter - $40

Low Income Male/Female Large Dog over 50lbs at maturity or Pit Bull/Pit Bull Cross - No Cost

To obtain a spay/neuter voucher, please contact one of our Veterinarian Partners and make an appointment, then contact SNIPPP at 530-336-6006, and provide your name, address, contact number, along with the name of your pet, breed, sex, and the date and location of your appointment. A SNIPPP volunteer will return your call. Please call several days in advance of your appointment to allow us time to arrange for your voucher.

Due to rising costs and increased demand, these changes are vital to the continuation of SNIPPP's voucher programs and our ongoing goal of providing assistance within our communities with the spaying and neutering of companion animals. Any and all vouchers are issued based upon the availability of funds and may be changed or discontinued at any time if necessary. 




NEW LOW-INCOME CAT VOUCHER PROGRAM AVAILABLE 8-1-2020 -- Friday July 31st, 2020

Thanks to recent grants received from The Burney Regional Community Fund, The Redding Rancheria Community Fund and The Petco Foundation, SNIPPP is excited to announce our new Low-Income Cat Voucher Program. Free Spay/Neuter Vouchers are now available within the SNIPPP service area as follows: 1. The pet owner must reside within the SNIPPP service area. 2. The pet owner must be low-income qualified. 3. The voucher must be used at one of our three Veterinary partners: Burney Veterinary Hospital 530-335-3646 Fall River Veterinary Hospital 530-336-5528 Modoc Veterinary Center - Alturas 530-233-4156 Adin 530-299-3121 In addition to this new program, we still offer programs for both low-income and non-low-income households to assist or cover the cost of spaying and neutering your dog or cat (including Feral cats that are trapped locally.) Effective June 1, 2020 - Changes to our Spay/Neuter Voucher Program -- Monday June 1st, 2020

In order to continue serving the animal welfare needs of the Intermountain Area, effective June 1, 2020 SNIPPP has made the following changes to our spay/neuter voucher programs.

Dog vouchers are available in the amount of $60 towards a spay and $40 towards a neuter, and Cat vouchers are available in the amount of $70 towards a spay and $30 towards a neuter.

Feral cat vouchers may also be available to cover the entire amount of a spay or neuter, providing the cat arrives at the vet in a trap. The cat will be spayed/neutered, it's ear will be tipped (to allow for identification as having been altered) and it will be returned in the trap for release. This program is limited to Feral cats only.

In addition to the vouchers described above, SNIPPP has a number of options available to provide more financial coverage for low-income households. For more information regarding available assistance please contact SNIPPP at 530-336-6006.

To obtain a spay or neuter voucher, please contact one of our local veterinarians and make an appointment, then contact SNIPPP at 530-336-6006. A SNIPPP representative will contact you within 24 hours. SNIPPP will contact the veterinarian and provide them with coverage information. Be sure to leave a number where you can be contacted and allow for sufficient time for SNIPPP to confirm the information and contact the veterinarian.

SNIPPP JOINS THE BEST FRIENDS NETWORK -- Sunday May 10th, 2020

SNIPPP is pleased to announce that we are now a member of the Best Friends Network ! The Best Friends Network is comprised of public and private shelters, rescue groups, spay/neuter organizations and other animal welfare groups across all 50 state and is at the heart of the collaborative spirit that helps define Best Friends. As part of this important network, we believe in their motto - "Together, we can Save Them All!"




BISSELL Pet Foundation Partnership -- Monday March 30th, 2020

 

SNIPPP is pleased to announce that we are now a member of the Bissell Pet Foundation's Partners for Pets.  Bissell Pet Foundation exists to assist animal welfare organizations like SNIPPP and currently partners with over 5,000 animal welfare organizations in all 50 states.  Bissell Pet Foundation's Partners for Pets program is designed to support shelters, rescue groups and spay/neuter organizations that are helping to reduce pet overpopulation across the United States.  SNIPPP is excited about this new partnership and looks forward to working with Bissell to support animal welfare in our community.
