I'm Bear, a very sweet mellow boy who's a little on the older side, but I'm still a wonderful companion who would love to join your family.  In my foster home, I've gotten along well with several female dogs, cats, and kids.  I came from a situation where I was chained outside to a tree for years, and there must have been a man who didn't treat me very nice--so I'm still a little shy around men.  Now I'd just love to be petted, brushed, and treated with affection--I'll be your happy friend in return.  I hope someone will think I deserve a better life than what I had for all those years at the end of a chain.  Your love could make a world of difference to me!

Bear is in need of a forever home--can you help him out?  Contact SNIPPP at 530 336-6006 or snippp@frontiernet.net  SNIPPP is willing to arrange transportion for Bear to an approved home outside of our normal area; inquiries from southern California and adjoining states are welcomed.

More about Bear

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids, Good for Seniors/Elderly, Requires a yard, Cratetrained, Needs special care, Timid, Affectionate, Gentle

Special Needs: Bear has had some of his teeth removed. He has an enlarged heart, which may lead to congestive heart failure later in life, but his condition has remained steady for a couple of years :-) He still is a happy dog who deserves a loving home. His vision and hearing are not 100%; sometimes sudden movements catch him off guard, so a calm home might be best for him.
