I wonder what happened to my human family? Some nice people let me stay at their house when I showed up there, because they could tell I didn't know where else to go, but they couldn't keep me, so now I'm looking for someone who can appreciate what a handsome guy I am. I'm a little timid when I first meet you, because I just don't know what to expect, but if you give me a few days, my friendliness comes shining through. For a black Lab mix, I'm probably going to be on the small side--all the better to squeeze into a place in your heart! I have a mellow disposition, although I'm still enough of a puppy to be playful and in need of reinforcement on housetraining and appropriate chewing behavior--but I'm trying to learn all that with the help of my foster mom. Other dogs and and especially kids are my favorite companions--I just want to have some friends that don't abandon me. Could you please be my friend for the rest of my life? I'd love to show you how nice I sit and walk on a leash.
