Oh boy! Moe has a new home! SNIPPP hopes you'll check out our available animals to see if YOUR new best friend is waiting here.
Moe went to the local vet August 1st and received his Rabies and Distemper shots, plus started on Heartworm meds. He got a clean bill of health and is estimated to be about 2 years old, has a really strong heart, is about 60 lbs, and a Border Collie Mix. He has a very shiny, soft coat and the vet said he has been well taken care of and is in great condition for having been roaming around for about a month. The vet feels that Moe has been abandoned in the area and has been going from home to home for food and companionship. Right now, he is being tethered on and off during the day with a kind local woman who doesn't want him to leave her care until his forever home is found. At night, Moe sleeps in a make-shift tent of sorts and seems to be quite content to be in there all night. He is not a barker. He just loves to chase squirrels, deer and birds, but he doesn't do anything--he is more interested in the chase than the catch. Moe is housetrained; he loves people, gets along with cats and other dogs, understands the command "NO", and loves to play fetch and play in the water from the hose. He rides well in the car, but does not have any real leash training. He knows "Sit" and "Shake" and responds to the name "Moe". He comes when called and there is nothing to indicate this dog is anything but really sweet and non-aggressive. He will be a wonderful companion to someone. Seriously interested persons with questions about Moe may call 530 474-5218.
